CommercialInbiose is a spin off company from Ghent University specialized in the development and commercialization of innovative health products through biotechnology, more specifically human milk oligosaccharides.
Our mission is to improve human health by delivering high-value, science-backed ingredients through cutting-edge biotechnological innovation.
We are building towards an international health ingredient company, commercially rolling out our products internationally. At this time 50 people are working at Inbiose and the number of collaborators will expand over the next years significantly.
• You have a Bachelor or Master's degree;
• Proven track record of +3 years in sales, marketing and/or business development. Having this experience within Biotech companies is a plus;
• Demonstrated experience utilizing solution selling and/or consultative approaches when engaging with clients and prospects;
• Strong presentation and communication skills in at least Dutch & English;
• Effective organizational skills, enthusiasm and positive energy approach;
• You have a good knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) & common sales tools (eg Hubspot);
• Common sense to actively help build the future within a dynamic organization;
• You are results-driven and have excellent commercial skills;
• Willingness to travel as needed;
• You are hands-on, reliable and happy to work independently.
• Contribute to the company’s commercial strategy by identifying and managing revenue-generating opportunities. Develop and actively pursue a list of targeted accounts with tailored plans to penetrate (key) prospects;
• Meet quarterly and annual new-business sales targets;
• Build, maintain, and execute a healthy sales pipeline by qualifying and translating sales leads towards real business opportunities;
• You will manage relationships throughout the prospecting and pre-contract stages, including identification, outreach, qualification, presentations and negotiations;
• Conduct demos and presentations to potential customers;
• Prepare client proposals, contracts and actively participating in negotiations;
• You’ll follow up on new and pending leads/inquiries within the designated SLA’s;
• Research and identify new markets, segments and business opportunities;
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitive dynamics and customer needs;
• Collaborate closely with internal teams (mainly Marketing) to optimize the sales process and deliver a smooth customer journey;
• Ensure effective handover of new customers to the appropriate internal teams for onboarding and long-term account management;
• Attendance of trade shows, industry events, conferences. Availability to travel when needed;
• Build relationships with other teams across the organisation and work in synergy to optimize the sales cycle.

You will work in the Process Development Team, responsible for the development and optimization of production processes based on precision fermentation, ready for scale-up. Your work will focus on the purification of the target products from the fermentation broth. You will design, develop and optimize these purification processes and provide crucial information for the upscaling. You will assist the teamlead in translating long term goals into day-to-day experiments. You will guide, mentor and train colleagues in their daily operations and data analysis.
