Research Associate Regulatory analytics

Inbiose is a spin off company from Ghent University specialized in the development of biotechnological production processes of specialty carbohydrates. Your profile:

  • You have a BSc or MSc in biochemistry or equivalent
  • You have experience with U(H)PLC and HPAEC-PAD and have insight in multiple detection methods such as RI, ELSD, FLR, UV or MS
  • You have knowledge on method development and method validation in a quality control and regulatory context
  • You have worked with external labs and organized sample shipment, tracking, follow-up and data gathering
  • You are flexible and a team player, but can work independently
  • You have an eye for detail, work accurately and aim for qualitative work
  • You are communicative and have a hands-on approach
  • You have experience in writing, optimizing and following protocols and SOPs
  • You are capable to manage multiple experiments within a single day
  • You are fluent in English
  • You are proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook or equivalent
  • Knowledge about Empower and Chromeleon is a plus
  • Knowledge about complex carbohydrate analytics is a plus
  • Knowledge about NMR is a plus
  • At least five years of experience

Responsibilities:

  • You will manage internal sample preparation, analysis and analytical method validation for regulatory and quality purposes
  • You will follow up and steer external labs for specific analytical analyses and stability studies, ranging from organic, inorganic as well as biochemical and microbial measurements
  • You will work closely with the analytical team, the scale-up team and the regulatory manager to follow up projects
  • You will maintain, analyze, organize and report data
  • You will prepare laboratory materials and samples for external analysis and follow up shipments from start to finish
  • You will manage and coordinate complex schedules within a broader team
  • You will take on general laboratory responsibilities and apply organizational and creative skills to improve lab operations
  • You will maintain safe practices and work environment
